On the International Coastal Cleaning Day, TURMEPA Antalya Branch organized a coast cleaning event at the Konyaaltı beach. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, İMEAK DTO Antalya Branch, Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education, Antalya Setur Marinas, Konyaaltı Municipality, Yaşam Hospital, Antsuder, Akdeniz Dolphin Diving Center, Akdeniz University Fisheries Faculty and Fettah Tamince Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Kepez Ersoy Primary / Secondary School and TURMEPA volunteers, members and students provided support from the land. Seabed cleaning was carried out with the Coast Guard Boat Command teams, Akdeniz Yunus Diving Underwater Diving Club and TURMEPA member divers. Approximately 450 kg of waste were collected during the cleaning in which 200 sea lovers participated. While glass, plastic beverage bottles, metal beverage cans and cigarette butts were collected on the shore, especially beverage bottles and metal cans as well as mask waste, construction materials and car tires were noted in the bottom cleaning.
