TUI Junior Academy Turkey Project Eco Champions Meet in Fethiye
The "TUI Juniour Academy Turkey" education and awareness project implemented by TURMEPA in cooperation with TUI Care Foundation has successfully completed its first year and reached 4,520 students and 536 teachers. Within the scope of the project carried out in Muğla, Antalya, İzmir and Aydın, the leading cities of Turkey in marine tourism, TURMEPA and TUI Care Foundation came together with the Eco Champion students in Fethiye. TURMEPA General Manager Semiha Öztürk and TUI Care Foundation Turkey Program Manager Şemsi Toprak shared the first year results of the project with guests and press members at TURMEPA Fethiye Coastal and Marine Research Center on June 7. The event was attended by Şaban Arıkan, President of TURMEPA Fethiye Branch, Oğuz Bolelli, Deputy Mayor of Fethiye, Erdinç Kara, Fethiye District National Education Branch Manager, Abdurrahman Kara, Fethiye Harbour Master, Mustafa Ergüven, Göcek Harbour Master, and teachers and students of the schools participating in the project.
During the event, TURMEPA General Manager Semiha Öztürk presented a plaque to TUI Care Foundation Turkey Program Manager Şemsi Toprak for her support. Eco Champion students who received training within the scope of the project shared their experiences and received their certificates.
