We Participated in the 1st Marmara Sustainable Environment Symposium
At the 1st Marmara Sustainable Environment Symposium, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, and Kocaeli University under the theme “One Sea, One Future: From Marmara to COP31,” various dimensions of environmental sustainability were explored with contributions from leading experts.
TURMEPA General Manager Semiha Öztürk participated as a panelist in the session titled “Strengthening Public Awareness,” moderated by Vildan Bölükbaşı Atay, Head of the Marine and Coastal Management Department of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. During the session, she shared insights on the environmental risks facing our seas and the projects we are carrying out to address these challenges.
At the TURMEPA stand established as part of the symposium, visitors were informed about our association’s activities and the initiatives carried out within the scope of the Zero Waste Blue movement. Vedat Doğusel, Chairman of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping and TURMEPA Kocaeli Branch, along with his team, also visited our stand.
