The ‘Haydi Kodlayalım’ Project Brought Together Environment and Technology in Samandag

In Samandağ, 4,156 students and 260 teachers participated in training programs that foster environmental awareness through the Haydi Kodlayalım Project.

Implemented by DenizTemiz Derneği / TURMEPA in the Samandağ district of Hatay, the Haydi Kodlayalım Project offered a holistic educational approach that brought together environmental awareness and technology. To date, the project has reached 4,156 students and 260 teachers across 26 institutions.

Through online training sessions conducted between January and June, 2,642 students and 144 teachers were reached, with a total of 1,440 minutes of training delivered. During this period, teachers and students engaged in active learning experiences through technology-based applications focusing on marine pollution, microplastics, and environmental awareness.

In the training sessions held between September and December, 1,514 students and 116 teachers participated, and 540 minutes of online training were conducted. As part of the project, a teacher training program held on 4–5 November was attended by 13 teachers, who developed projects directly during hands-on sessions and presented the outcomes they produced.

With its structure grounded in local needs and its focus on measurable outcomes, the Haydi Kodlayalım Project continues to make a strong contribution to environment- and technology-oriented education in Samandağ.
